Help! Bail Me From Jail!
Yesterday, I received a letter in the mail with the return address: Delaware Correctional Center. A printed message plastered the back of the envelope. 'This letter was sent by an inmate who is in State Prison. The State is not responsible for debts incurred, or for the contents of the letter.' I precariously opened the envelope. It was from an inmate who had read a newspaper article on Lenny and me entitled, 'It's the Lizard's Lesson: Let Go and Get On with Life.'
The inmate wrote, 'Delaware State Prisons don't have any type of rehabilitation so I have to figure out a way to help myself...I don't know how to let go. I need help!'
Lenny has observed humans and has noticed that the first step in growth, in shedding, is to recognize you need help. The second is to take a courageous step, reach out, and ask for help. Many times people sentence themselves to mental prisons. Failing to ask for help may be the only thing keeping them incarcerated.
Lenny's Challenge: Take 60 seconds and ask yourself, 'In what mental jail do I find myself imprisoned?' How might you benefit from the assistance of others? What can you do today to ask for help and break out of your jail?
Bailing yourself from jail is 100% your choice! Shed or You're Dead (TM)!
